There are very few breeds of dogs as special as a pyr. This ancient breed first
developed for livestock guard work has proven to be one of the most endearing
family companion animals ever created.

Sometimes known as the "gentle giant" the Great Pyrenees is known for
developing a strong bond with their family and devoting their life to the
protection and comfort of those they love.

While the pyr is not a dog for everyone (shedding, barking, and destructive
puppy behavior can be a turn off) those that love them know how special they
really are.

I breed to better the breed, to create the next generation of champions, to
produce quality animals that will go on to be loved family members. If you are

It is with great sadness that we say goodbye to Lorri Davis of
ByDesign pyrs. She lost her battle with cancer on December 11.
2007. She was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by the many
people who knew her. We know that she is at the rainbow bridge
with all her beloved dogs who have been patiently waiting for her
arrival. God Speed Lorri.

Lorri's breeding program will continue with help from friends and
her husband Robin. Puppies are expected shortly. If you would like

Lorri believed that there was no better dog than a Great Pyrenees. She
felt that the pyr made the ultimate family companion. Her love for the
breed and her desire for correct gentle temperaments has given her some
of the most beautiful pyrs out there today.
