Under most circumstances, your kitten has already received his/her "core" vaccines. Core
vaccines consist of a Modified Live Vaccine (MLV) protecting against Feline Panleukopenia
(Feline Distemper); Rhinotracheitis (an upper respiratory infection); and Calicivirus (also an
upper respiratory infection). A booster vaccine is needed in one year.
There are other optional/recommended vaccines that should be considered. These depend upon
your individual circumstances. Please discuss these with your vet.
Both parents of this kitten have tested negative for the Feline Leukemia and Feline
Immunodeficiency (FIV) virus, and have been given annual vaccines since being tested.
Therefore, the liklihood of this kitten having either virus is extremely small (unless exposed to
an infected cat elsewhere). However, the testing/vaccinating of this kitten for FeLV/FIV is
recommended. In recent years, it has been shown that in some cases, the vaccine itself poses
more of a risk than the actual disease; namely carcinomas (cancer) at the vaccination sight
(shoulder blade area). In light of these findings, I cannot assume responsibility for any
negative outcome or health related issues that may be associated by the administration of these
vaccines.
CONTRACT/AGREEMENT FOR THE PURCHASE OF THIS KITTEN
**Please read it carefully & do not hesitate to ask me for clarification if there is something you do not
understand or agree with!!**
Within five (5) business days of your taking possession of this kitten, it is your responsibility
to have him/her thoroughly examined and tested by a licensed veterinarian to verify/certify
that this kitten is healthy and free from any inherited diseases, disorders, or defects not
disclosed at the time of purchase. This will be done at the buyer's expense.
If a serious health condition, illness, or defect is discovered and it can be determined to have
originated or been in existence before you purchased and/or took posession... return the
kitten to me not later than 10 days from the date of these findings and you will receive
either a replacement kitten of equal value, or a full refund.
NO CASH REFUNDS WILL BE GIVEN beyond this period. After this time frame, ONLY a
replacement kitten will be given and is subject to availability.
Written verification from the veterinarian stating the nature of the problem or illness is
required. I reserve the right to have the kitten re-examined (at my expense) by another vet to
corroborate the original vet's findings.
After the above time frame has lapsed, it is understood and agreed that you have fully
accepted this kitten as is and he/she becomes your complete responsibility.
If a deposit has been given to hold a particular kitten, the deposit is for THAT kitten and is
not transferable to another kitten unless agreed upon by the breeder. Deposits are
NONREFUNDABLE unless requested within 48 hours of the deposit.
Behavioral/personality problems will be dealt with on an individual basis. This is a very
"touchy" situation. I have never and will never allow a kitten to leave my home with any known
behavioral problems (overly aggressive/shy, personality conflicts, inappropriate bathroom
habits, etc.). However, it is impossible for me to "guarantee" these behaviors, for obvious
reasons. If, any such problem arises I will do my best, within reason, to work with the new
owners to resolve any such issues.

Your kitten has been fed a very high quality food and my hope is for that to continue. What I
normally do is mix a combination of high quality foods so that you, as the new owner, are not
boxed in to one particular food. At the moment, the kittens are receiving a mixture of Eagle
Pack Kitten, Chicken Soup for the Cat Lover's Soul (kitten variety), Eukanuba Kitten food, and
Iams Kitten food. These foods were chosen because of their high quality. Although I
understand if you decide to feed something different, please be advised that I can't/won't be
responsible for any digestive problems (diarrhea, constipation, vomiting, etc), associated with
the feeding of a lower quality food.
If this kitten is being purchased as a pet only, you must agree to have him/her neutered or
spayed before 9 months of age. You must also agree to always keep this kitten/cat indoors.
Persians are NOT outdoor cats. If permitted outdoors, any and all contractual agreements are
null and void…basically, you are on your own as far as any illness or any disease that may be
contracted.
If being purchased for breeding, you must understand it is impossible for me to guarantee
type, quality, color, or markings of any future kittens produced. Additionally, I cannot be
responsible for any unpredictable features the kitten may have as an adult such as size, length
or texture of coat, depth or hue of eye color, or any other God-made features beyond my
control.
By signing below, you further agree not to sell, lease, or give this kitten/cat away to any pet
shop, research laboratory or similar facility, including any animal shelter without first
consulting me.
